Summer Imperial Palace

We decided to visit the Imperial Palace during the last of the summer sun, so as to behold it with actual green. It was a pleasant windy day, warm and slow (well.. as slow as you can get in Tokyo), just as a Sunday should be.
Walking around the moat we were stopped by a high school teacher who seemed to want to practice his English. We chatted for a while and then moved on in search of the tasty ice cream found within the fortified walls of the palace grounds. Sadly, Oliver was too full for sharing, and the delicious, creamy filled, frozen waffle was too large for just me, so I had to go without :(
We strolled around the palace gardens and historical buildings, walking on real grass for the first time in months since being in this crazy cement jungle!

Spearhead-o!

Recently, Oliver and I went to see Spearheado (as the Japanese call them). It was an awesome, lively show filled with a genki mix of Japanese and non-Japanese alike. Regardless of language barriers, everyone seemed to have an uplifting, politically charged, funky good time! The show was Spearhead's Tokyo debut, and they felt it was a great success! Hopefully they'll be back to rile up the crowds soon!
We had a rainy adventure back to our humble abode, stopping in a wicked Thai restaurant along the way. All in all, another excellent Tokyo adventure!
